Cecilia Mitts
The Caprice yarn I've used to make these was inspired by music - a thin black thread plied with a thicker white one, incorporating shiny black beads suggesting musical notes and lines. The pattern is as simple as they come. Leaving the fingers unencumbered and using cosy alpaca fibre means that they'll be perfect for outdoor Christmas caroling or busking!
Pattern
The finished size will depend on the yarn you use as well as your tension - I suggest knitting a few rows of the first rib pattern, and then stitching it up - this is the cuff, so it needs to fit over your hand and fit your wrist. If it doesn't, then adjust needles or scale the pattern accordingly.
(The diagrams will give you a rough idea of the shape you're aiming for, they're not counted or to scale.)
