Cashmere fibre

Items are in stock and ready to go first class unless it says otherwise. Please ask me for a sample of any of these fibres. Don't forget to write your postal address and which particular fibre(s) you're interested in.

Cashmere is the beautifully soft and fine undercoat from the cashmere goat (less than 19 microns). I doesn't felt readily.

Fibres like this tend to have a shorter staple. They can be spun on their own but may be more difficult than a longer fibre. You may get more even results if you blend it with something longer.

You will probably get best results if you spin from the fold or make rolags and use long draw. Give it plenty of twist, maybe using a faster ratio on your wheel.

The fibre available below is Chinese and Mongolian cashmere in natural shades.
